Wedding and civil partnerships services available

Hair and Make-up services are available for brides, Groom, bridesmaids, mother of the bride / Groom, friends and family.

Hair and make-up is also available separately.

Makeup lessons I offer private tutoring in wedding make-up that will enable you to rest secure in your ability, so that when the big day comes, you know you have left nothing to chance.

Prepare your hair in advance before your wedding day to get it into great condition; including, colouring, cuts, trims and recommending the right products for you.

Treat your Mother’s to preparing their hair in advance too and on your wedding day. Make it special and have your appointments together.

Arranging a trial

The first step towards organising your wedding hair and make-up needs is arranging a trial. Booking your trial secures your wedding date up to your trial day. The purpose of trials are to discover or develop the vision you imagine for yourself and any others you would like me to take care of. Before the trial you will want to research looks that excite you, I will ask you to email any pictures including one of your wedding gown so we can assure perfection!

To get the most out of your trial day we will communicate by email to give the ideas time to simmer so when it comes to your trial day no time is wasted!

Trial days are about trying out ideas!! So the more we know in advance, the more fun we can have!! If required, I can save a lot of time through demonstrations on manikins for complex ideas before the trial to discover what you do and do not like. For best effect, you will love having a trial in the morning so that you can see how your chosen style behaves over time, especially if you are having curls! One less thing to worry about on your big day! The daylight also allows me to match the foundation perfectly to your skin tone!

Pre-trial ‘must-know’ information!!!

Hair & Make-up trials take an average of two to four hours. To make the most out of your trial certain preparations are essential: Please wash your hair the night before or in the morning if you know it suit’s your hair type better (we can discus this when we arrange your trial if your not sure). No use of strengtheners before a trial. The cleaning and cleansing of your face as you would first thing is also indispensable. Trials usually take place in my studio in Basingstoke, Hampshire unless requested otherwise.

When to book?

Please be aware that brides can book up to six months in advance, so best not leave it too late which is especially important when peak dates are concerned; but If you are let down elsewhere then last minute bookings are a possibility.

Preparation before your big day is a good idea as I can get to know your hair. As a fully qualified hair stylist with over thirty years experience, I can prepare your hair long before your wedding to get it into great condition; including, but not limited to: colouring, cuts, trims and recommending the right products for you. Hairpieces to try out at trials and purchase.

Hairpieces are available! I have the perfect range that I retail you may try out samples at your trial! I know how to order the right colour to match perfectly to your own hair colour! The effect is so natural looking that nobody will notice the difference! Hairpieces are great for adding volume to fine hair! You also have the option of hair pads that can be used for a beehive affect and more! If necessary I can customise hair pads especially for your needs. When it comes to hairpieces you have one less thing to worry about, as I will supply the perfect quality of the perfect length with the perfect colour match!

Rest assured and enjoy the excitement! I will arrive in excellent time, and having enjoyed all the necessary preparations, all you need to do is relax in the knowledge that you are in expert hands.

Your finished look will result in perfectly styled hair and make-up, for your day’s festivities ensuring every photo taken, has you looking your best!

As well as styling hair, I will also add the tiara, veil and any bridesmaid’s hair accessories. If you would like to add fresh flowers to your hair style, I am happy to help & willing to talk to your florist if needed so we get the right look for you. If you need me on hand then I can also help you with your gown and ensure you are looking fabulous!
